Sports Stacking at Gensan's Mall

It was nice to see young children so engrossed in the latest sports craze in the country. Better to see them in person as I had the opportunity to witness them play at Gaisano General Santos City.

Speed stacking now called sport stacking is now a hit among AB class youngsters who prefer the real challenge than the virtual ones.

Anyway, I met them (Terrence Benson and Billy Banes) at the mall. While the kids were neophytes in this sports, it seems like they have the potential given the kids' easy adaptability and dexterity to the sports.

In fact, they told me that a local boy is currently a Mindanao champion (they forgot his name). If my memory serves me right, a young Fil-Am (Steven Purruganan) is currently an icon in this sports.

Calling the potential sports patrons in town to form a sports stacking association. Let us help these budding youngsters.

By the way, the governing World Sport Stacking Association (WSSA) was formed in 2001 for the purpose of promoting and governing sport stacking around the world. The association was originally titled World Cup Stacking Association (WCSA).

In 2005, the name was changed to its current WSSA in response to growing awareness that stacking is considered a sport.
